According to data from the blockchain analyst <strong>Glassnode<\/strong>, these investors have purchased over <strong>129,000 BTC<\/strong>, equivalent to<strong> $11.2 billion<\/strong> at the current price of $87,500, between March 11 and 25, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/03\/bitcoin-baleines-1024x576-1.jpg\" alt=\"bitcoin whales position\" class=\"wp-image-1322\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media.investx.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/03\/bitcoin-baleines-1024x576-1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/media.investx.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/03\/bitcoin-baleines-1024x576-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/media.investx.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/03\/bitcoin-baleines-1024x576-1-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>This is the highest accumulation rate observed since <strong>August 2024<\/strong>, indicating a <strong>renewed confidence<\/strong> from the market&#8217;s major players in <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/crypto-investing\/buy\/bitcoin\/\">Bitcoin&#8217;s long-term<\/a> prospects. <em>&#8220;These massive purchases offset the continued selling by small holders,&#8221;<\/em> comments Glassnode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a-renewed-appetite-for-hodling\">A Renewed Appetite for &#8220;HODLing&#8221;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This <strong>buying frenzy<\/strong> by whales is accompanied by a renewed interest in the &#8220;HODL&#8221; strategy (holding onto your BTC for the long term). The &#8220;BTC 1Y+ HOLD wave&#8221; indicator from <em>Bitbo Charts<\/em> shows a<strong> significant<\/strong> surge, indicating that more investors are adopting a wealth preservation approach to <strong>Bitcoin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This behaviour contrasts with the <strong>ongoing macroeconomic uncertainties<\/strong>, fueled in part by trade tensions between the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/crypto-news\/top-5-american-usa-cryptocurrencies\/\">United States<\/a><\/strong> and <strong>China<\/strong>. However, it reflects the conviction of major investors in the potential of the leading cryptocurrency, despite short-term turbulence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While eyes are anxiously watching interest rates and <strong>geopolitical tensions<\/strong>, Bitcoin whales are showing renewed confidence in the future of the cryptocurrency. Their massive purchases and wealth preservation strategy suggest an anticipated <strong>new bullish phase<\/strong> in the months ahead.
