According to the senators, this project is closely tied to the president&#8217;s personal fortune. They believe Trump <em>&#8220;has the power to directly influence national cryptocurrency policy to his financial advantage.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"corruption-suspicions-surrounding-usd1\">Corruption Suspicions Surrounding USD1<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Democrats have also highlighted <strong>a $2 billion agreement<\/strong> between Emirati company <strong>MGX<\/strong> and the exchange <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/learn\/crypto\/bnb-binance-coin\/\">Binance<\/a><\/strong>, involving the use of <strong>USD1<\/strong>. The senators view this as a systemic risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"call-for-transparency-and-integrity\">Call for Transparency and Integrity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Faced with these concerning conflicts of interest, Democrats are demanding answers from the Comptroller of the Currency about its ability to <strong>maintain independence from Trump<\/strong>. They also want to know if the regulator will open an <strong>investigation<\/strong> into World LibertyFi&#8217;s competitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a context of evolving crypto regulation, these interactions raise <strong>serious questions<\/strong> about the influence the president could exert over the financial landscape.
