Although prices haven&#8217;t fully recovered yet, a <strong>significant rebound<\/strong> is already underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Harsh drop on the markets for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Altcoins?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Altcoins<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bitcoin?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Bitcoin<\/a> is back in the range.<br><br>Short-term, the trend is down for me.<br><br>However, if we break the resistance around $120.5K, that would be a sign to assume that we&#39;re going to be making new highs.<br><br>As that level was lost, I don&#39;t think\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/5iwSoWhMA6\">pic.twitter.com\/5iwSoWhMA6<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Micha\u00ebl van de Poppe (@CryptoMichNL) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CryptoMichNL\/status\/1956273909126586735?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 15, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>total market capitalization<\/strong> of the crypto market <strong>fell by approximately 4%<\/strong> yesterday, marking the largest decline since May 23, nearly three months ago. Everything began when the Producer Price Index (PPI), which measures product price changes, came in significantly higher than expected. Minutes later, prices plummeted dramatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/learn\/crypto\/bitcoin\/\">Bitcoin<\/a> dropped <strong>from $121,000 to $119,000<\/strong>, before reaching a low of $117,250 in the evening. Ethereum (ETH) also fell, from $4,720 to $4,450. However, overnight, investors returned to the market in droves, bringing the two largest cryptocurrencies back to <strong>substantially higher levels<\/strong>. Bitcoin is currently trading at $119,000 and <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/learn\/crypto\/ethereum\/\">Ethereum<\/a> at $4,645.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other cryptocurrencies like <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/learn\/crypto\/cardano\/\">Cardano (ADA)<\/a> followed a <strong>similar trajectory<\/strong> and recovered some of their losses. ADA is now trading just $0.02 below its pre-inflation report price, at <strong>$0.95.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"when-bitcoin-sets-the-trend-for-other-cryptos\">When Bitcoin Sets the Trend for Other Cryptos<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s now crucial to closely monitor Bitcoin&#8217;s movements. Is this the beginning of a larger rebound? If so, altcoins should logically <strong>recoup their losses<\/strong>. But if Bitcoin seeks to establish new lows, it will be very difficult for other <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/learn\/crypto\/\">cryptocurrencies<\/a> to <strong>maintain their positions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dutch analyst Micha\u00ebl van de Poppe predicts some short-term pain ahead. He believes Bitcoin could <strong>climb back to $120,000<\/strong>, before seeking lower levels again, which he estimates at <strong>$116,800 and $114,750<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Sharp decline in the markets for Altcoins, and Bitcoin is back in the range. In the short term, <strong>the trend is bearish<\/strong> for me.
