The halving only changes the <strong>rate<\/strong> at which these 21 million tokens are put into circulation, making each new TAO more difficult to obtain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"impact-on-subnets-quality-over-quantity\">Impact on Subnets: Quality Over Quantity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For the &#8220;subnets&#8221; \u2013 these specialized sub-networks competing to obtain TAO rewards \u2013 the consequences are direct.
