However, today&#8217;s event is acting like a sword of Damocles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is the largest options expiration ever recorded in the history of digital assets. This massive volume of derivative contracts expiring simultaneously is creating palpable <strong>jitters<\/strong> among both institutional and retail traders. While the underlying trend remains bullish, the fear of a brutal short-term <strong>retracement<\/strong> is very real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-crypto-market-under-high-tension\">The Crypto Market Under High Tension<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s not just the market leaders that are affected. Two scenarios are currently competing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bearish Scenario:<\/strong> Increased selling pressure at expiration could trigger a rapid <strong>correction<\/strong>, liquidating highly leveraged long positions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bullish Scenario:<\/strong> Once this pressure is released, the market could experience a violent <strong>breakout<\/strong> to the upside, with the brakes released for the continuation of the <strong>bull run<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"volatility-or-simple-consolidation\">Volatility or Simple Consolidation?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Historically, monthly or quarterly expiration days are synonymous with <strong>turbulence<\/strong>. Prices often tend to converge toward the &#8220;Max Pain&#8221; point, the price level where the greatest number of options expire worthless, causing <strong>maximum losses<\/strong> for options buyers and maximum profit for sellers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, once the event has passed, the market often tends to <strong>resume its initial direction with vigor<\/strong>. If the support holds firm despite this $27 billion pressure, it would confirm the exceptional resilience of the current market and could validate the continuation of the rally toward new <strong>ATH<\/strong> (All-Time Highs) for Bitcoin and major <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/crypto-news\/altcoins\/\">altcoins<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The next 24 to 48 hours will be crucial in determining the <strong>monthly<\/strong> and <strong>annual close<\/strong>.
