In this context, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/crypto-news\/bitcoin\/\">Bitcoin<\/a> (BTC)<\/strong>, the largest cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization, plunged by over <strong>6%<\/strong>, entered a downtrend, and is now heading towards a rebound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The potential reason for this massive sell-off in the market is the announcement of these new customs duties, which will now impose tariffs of <strong>10%<\/strong> on key countries, while China, the EU, and Japan will face tariffs of <strong>34%, 20%, and 24%<\/strong> respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bitcoin?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Bitcoin<\/a> is still holding a higher low, while the stock market digests Trump&#39;s new tariffs. <br><br>It&#39;s clear Bitcoin wants to move higher. However, this is undoubtedly also due to the <strong>massive drop in the SP500<\/strong> that was rejected from its 200-day moving average and is heading towards a significant drop.<br><br>According to analysts, the SP500 could see its worst drop <strong>in over 20 years<\/strong>. Consequently, BTC is suffering even more during stock market openings. Historically, in approximately <strong>60-70%<\/strong> of cases, after such a significant gap, the market shows <strong>a rise the next day<\/strong>, often due to buying or stabilization after the initial panic. For example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>After the gap on October 19, 1987, <strong>+5.33%.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After the gap on October 15, 2008, <strong>+4.25%.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After the gap on March 16, 2020, <strong>+6.00%.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Consequently, BTC could benefit today from this opportune rebound of the SP500 before it continues its slump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"bitcoin-technical-analysis-and-future-levels\"><strong>Bitcoin Technical Analysis and Future Levels<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to experts&#8217; technical analysis, BTC recently lost the support of <strong>$82,500<\/strong> and fell below the 200-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA), indicating that the asset is entering a strong downtrend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"676\" src=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/04\/BTCUSD_2025-04-04_09-22-35-1024x676-1.jpg\" alt=\"Bitcoin price on a 3H chart\" class=\"wp-image-2519\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media.investx.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/04\/BTCUSD_2025-04-04_09-22-35-1024x676-1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/media.investx.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/04\/BTCUSD_2025-04-04_09-22-35-1024x676-1-300x198.jpg 300w, https:\/\/media.investx.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/04\/BTCUSD_2025-04-04_09-22-35-1024x676-1-768x507.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>However, BTC has already rebounded well, with a +2.84% increase since yesterday&#8217;s drop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If BTC closes its daily candle below the <strong>$81,500<\/strong> level, it is highly likely to experience a significant drop and reach the <strong>$77,700<\/strong> level or even lower in the coming days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>BTC could target its 50-day moving average at <strong>$87,500<\/strong> during the day in case of market gains. The next target is at <strong>$89,600<\/strong>, a zone where over 400 million dollars of shorts are set to be liquidated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"massive-sale-of-18930-btc-by-short-term-holders\">Massive Sale of 18,930 BTC by Short-Term Holders<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Following this massive price drop and the shift in market sentiment towards bearish, short-term holders have been shaken.
