In total, over <strong>$800 million<\/strong> of long positions have been liquidated on the futures markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">in last 24 hours 1.37 Billion Liquidated and almost 444,976 Traders Liquidated.  <br><br>This Liquidation should be more 2-3X because of API limitations .  they not calculate accurate amount. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/HACT9e2pc4\">pic.twitter.com\/HACT9e2pc4<\/a><\/p>&mdash; sethiya.eth (@sethiya9694) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sethiya9694\/status\/1909149313579593946?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 7, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The price plunge was led by <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/crypto-news\/bitcoin-price-below-80000-bear-market-start\/\">Bitcoin<\/a>, which dropped below <strong>$77,000<\/strong>. Ethereum also fell by nearly <strong>15%<\/strong>, dipping below the <strong>$1,500<\/strong> mark. This sharp correction dragged many other <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/crypto-investing\/\">cryptocurrencies<\/a> down, with drops of <strong>10 to 20%<\/strong> across the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"massive-liquidations-rebound-ahead\">Massive Liquidations, Rebound Ahead ?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Data shows that nearly <strong>86%<\/strong> of positions in the futures markets were <strong>bullish<\/strong>, reflecting traders&#8217; expectations for higher prices in the weeks ahead. However, this wave of massive liquidations could signal a market <strong>turnaround<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Significant liquidations indicate a sense of <strong>panic<\/strong> and market sentiment overreaction. When the momentum becomes this extreme, a trend reversal is often imminent, as prices tend to overreact in both directions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After this dark session, crypto investors will need to exercise extreme caution. Violent market movements and cascading liquidations are often <strong>precursors of a trend reversal<\/strong>. It could still continue to fall this week, as a significant demand zone lies between <strong>$71 and $73,000<\/strong>. If selling pressure persists, BTC could drop as low as <strong>$69,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"key-levels-to-watch-for-solana-and-xrp\">Key Levels to Watch for Solana and XRP<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>XRP broke its key support at $2 and continues its steep decline, currently trading at <strong>$1.69<\/strong>. If BTC fails to bounce back, XRP could drop further towards its demand zone around <strong>$1.35<\/strong>. It has just rebounded at a significant zone at <strong>$95<\/strong>.
