However, it fares better than Asian indices plunging by <strong>9-10%<\/strong>. Conversely, precious metals like <strong>gold <\/strong>and <strong>silver <\/strong>are on a clear uptrend, reigniting debates on Bitcoin&#8217;s <strong><em>&#8220;digital gold&#8221;<\/em><\/strong> status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Ether crashed below $1,500 for the first time in over two years. So far the intraday low was just above $1,400, a 20% drop overnight.
