According to his investigation, the individual behind the draining of several government wallets is none other than <strong>John Daghita<\/strong>, known by the pseudonyms &#8220;Lick&#8221; or &#8220;John&#8221;. The problem? The accusation is serious: the son allegedly exploited his father&#8217;s privileged access to embezzle more than <strong>$40 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not the first time these wallets have shown signs of weakness. Last October, <strong>$20 million<\/strong> had already been <strong>mysteriously drained<\/strong> before being partially returned. ZachXBT reports that John Daghita bragged about his wealth during a dispute on Telegram, a phenomenon called <strong>&#8220;band for band&#8221;<\/strong> (comparing who has the most money).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To prove his claims, &#8220;Lick&#8221; shared his screen, revealing an Exodus wallet containing funds directly traced to US government addresses. The on-chain movements are irrefutable:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Massive transfers of <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/crypto-investing\/buy\/ethereum\/\">Ethereum<\/a> (ETH) and stablecoins.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An attempted laundering operation via instant exchangers to cover tracks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A direct connection with the seized funds from the Bitfinex case (2016).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This amateur mistake now makes it possible to link a real identity to what appeared to be a sophisticated hack. If the allegations are confirmed, this raises terrifying questions about the security of <strong>cold wallets<\/strong> managed by government contractors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"institutional-security-in-question-should-we-be-worried\">Institutional Security in Question: Should We Be Worried?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This case highlights a <strong>critical flaw in the management<\/strong> of digital assets by government entities.
