Currently trading around <strong>$89,100<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/learn\/crypto\/bitcoin\/halving-date\/\">Bitcoin<\/a> is trapped in a tight range, squeezed between critical support and immediate resistance. If Powell&#8217;s speech is perceived as hawkish (favoring high rates to counter sticky 3% inflation), a break of this level could push BTC toward <strong>$85,000<\/strong>, or even lower. Trading volumes, though slightly up, show that &#8220;whales&#8221; are waiting for a clear signal to move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Conversely, a daily close above <strong>$90,000<\/strong> would validate a bullish reversal structure. For now, Bitcoin <strong>remains bearish as long as it stays below $90,000<\/strong> and the upward trendline broken to the downside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"ethereum-and-altcoins-is-a-surprise-rally-possible\">Ethereum and Altcoins: Is a Surprise Rally Possible?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While Bitcoin monopolizes attention, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/learn\/crypto\/ethereum\/\">Ethereum<\/a> (ETH)<\/strong> is attempting to defend the psychological threshold of <strong>$2,990<\/strong>. The second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap is showing signs of relative weakness, but could be the big winner of an accommodative (dovish) speech. In that case, Ethereum could target a rapid breakout toward <strong>$3,200<\/strong>, pulling high-beta tokens like <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/learn\/crypto\/solana\/\">Solana<\/a> along with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, caution remains warranted. Historical data shows that FOMC sessions often generate violent volatility (liquidation &#8220;wicks&#8221;) in both directions before choosing a direction. Moreover, when Bitcoin rises heading into FOMC announcements, it typically retraces downward in the hours and days that follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"has-the-market-already-priced-in-the-worst-case-scenario\">Has the Market Already Priced in the Worst-Case Scenario?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With a <strong>97%<\/strong> probability that rates will remain unchanged, the surprise won&#8217;t come from the numbers, but from the words. The crypto market, which has already corrected from its October 2025 highs (around $126,000), seems to have priced in a restrictive monetary policy. The real question for investors now is whether the local bottom has been reached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If Bitcoin manages to turn the <strong>$90,000<\/strong> zone into solid support after the press conference, the path toward <strong>$95,000<\/strong> could open up quickly.
