An anonymous trader manipulated the market by combining long positions worth <strong>$4 million<\/strong> with a short position of <strong>$4.1 million<\/strong> on the memecoin J<strong>elly my Jelly (JELLY<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>400%<\/strong> surge in <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/crypto-news\/jelly-pressure-hyperliquid-hype-drops\/\">JELLY&#8217;s price<\/a> caught the platform off guard, allowing the attacker to escape with a loot of <strong>$6.26 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This incident, the second notable one in March according to Bobby Ong of CoinGecko, prompted Hyperliquid to halt JELLY <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/trading\/\">trades<\/a> and remove the token from its ecosystem, citing &#8220;dubious market movements.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a-glimmer-of-hope-for-the-hype-token\"><strong>A Glimmer of Hope for the HYPE Token<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The attack had an immediate impact on the HYPE token, plunging its price below $10 in early April, hitting a low of <strong>$9.87 <\/strong>\u2013 a drop of over <strong>70%<\/strong> from its peak of <strong>$35.20<\/strong>.
