He points out a major issue facing the network: <strong>lack of clear leadership<\/strong>. According to him, the Ethereum update process has become too slow, with only one significant change to the <strong>Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)<\/strong> proposed in five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This slowness is partly due to the <strong>decentralized nature of Ethereum<\/strong>, making decision-making challenging. While decentralization is a key strength of the network, it has also made implementing necessary changes difficult. There is a lack of a clear and consistent vision for Ethereum and the EVM, making <strong>any progress on the EVM impossible<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Mulackal believes Ethereum should focus more on execution than research, proposing a quarterly <strong>hard fork<\/strong> schedule to accelerate improvements. He suggests that faster updates could help the network maintain its <strong>dominance in the blockchain space<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"threatened-ethereum-blockchains-that-could-outshine-it\">Threatened Ethereum : Blockchains That Could Outshine It<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mulackal&#8217;s concerns echo similar warnings from other industry players.
