This divergence reflects an active short-term capital rotation in the cryptocurrency market as traders capitalize on macroeconomic conditions&#8217; volatility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">New <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/VitalikButerin?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@VitalikButerin<\/a> blog post on replacing the EVM with RISC-V in the long-term.<br><br>I am a huge fan of this direction for Ethereum&#39;s execution layer.<br><br>Today, RISC-V zkVMs like SP1 are the clear endgame solution for &quot;ZK-ifying&quot; Ethereum and quickly becoming the de-facto solution for\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/yFBojIheqC\">pic.twitter.com\/yFBojIheqC<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Uma Roy (@pumatheuma) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/pumatheuma\/status\/1913938547301863630?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 20, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In response to criticisms from Cardano&#8217;s founder, Charles Hoskinson, who predicted Ethereum&#8217;s collapse, <strong>Vitalik Buterin<\/strong> proposed an ambitious network update. The <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/learn\/crypto\/ethereum\/\">Ethereum<\/a> co-founder shared details of a new Layer-Zero framework, utilizing advanced standards like <strong>zkVM and RISC-V,<\/strong> to address the scalability challenges facing the network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to shared documentation, this update could significantly increase Ethereum&#8217;s capacity, with up to <strong>832 times<\/strong> fewer cycles than current EVM interpreters, a <strong>95.7%<\/strong> reduction in proof cycles, and a <strong>30x throughput<\/strong> increase through GPU acceleration. Additionally, proof compression through recursion could reduce the size from <strong>346 MB<\/strong> to just <strong>1.5 MB.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"impact-on-ethereums-price\"><strong>Impact on Ethereum&#8217;s Price<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If successfully implemented, Vitalik&#8217;s Layer-Zero framework could reshape Ethereum&#8217;s scalability narrative, thus alleviating long-term concerns about ecosystem fragmentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A shift towards a high-efficiency infrastructure based on zkVM could indeed <strong>enhance Ethereum&#8217;s competitiveness<\/strong> against new chains while directly reducing fees on Layer-1 base layer.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"676\" src=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/04\/ETHUSD_2025-04-28_08-55-27-1024x676-1.jpg\" alt=\"ETH Ethereum price on 1D\" class=\"wp-image-4855\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media.investx.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/04\/ETHUSD_2025-04-28_08-55-27-1024x676-1.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/media.investx.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/04\/ETHUSD_2025-04-28_08-55-27-1024x676-1-300x198.jpg 300w, https:\/\/media.investx.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2025\/04\/ETHUSD_2025-04-28_08-55-27-1024x676-1-768x507.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Technically, Ethereum&#8217;s price is approaching its Ichimoku cloud on a daily basis and staying above the Kijun. Furthermore, it continues to hold above its 50-day moving average at <strong>$1794.<\/strong> The next resistances are at <strong>$1943 and $2300 (100-day moving average).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/learn\/crypto-bullrun\/\">bullish<\/a> projection is supported by technical indicators such as <strong>Parabolic SAR and Fisher Transform<\/strong>, indicating a favorable trend reversal for buyers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While short-term fluctuations may occur, the medium-term momentum clearly favours the <strong>bulls<\/strong>, particularly due to <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/crypto-news\/vitalik-buterins-bold-vision-future-ethereum-unveiled\/\">Vitalik Buterin&#8217;<\/a>s proposal, which could give Ethereum a <strong>long-term boost.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In summary, despite short-term setbacks compared to Bitcoin, Ethereum&#8217;s price retains strong long-term growth potential.
