This development raises the question of whether ETH<\/strong>, currently at a 5-year low relative to BTC in the ETH\/BTC<\/strong> pair, could surpass Bitcoin in an impending<\/strong> market rebound<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amid concerns regarding the economic impact of tariffs, the Federal Reserve<\/strong> maintained the borrowing rate between 4.25% and 4.5%, unchanged since December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, markets experienced a speculative surge on the possibility of the Fed<\/a> implementing two rate cuts this year instead of one. With signs of inflation easing<\/strong> and increased pressure on the labor market, the central bank could be driven to adopt a more accommodative policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The anticipation of increased liquidity<\/strong> and policy easing has led to a strong rise in risk assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the time of writing, Bitcoin surged by 5.02%<\/strong>, clearly breaking the resistance <\/strong>threshold of $85,000<\/strong>, while Ethereum gained 6.45%<\/strong>, reclaiming the $2,000<\/strong> mark after a long consolidation period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the daily MACD<\/strong> indicator for ETH\/BTC<\/strong> turned bullish<\/strong>, while exchange volume reached a two-week high, suggesting a potential reversal<\/strong> in favor of Ethereum.<\/p>\n\n\n

However, sustaining this trend remains uncertain. Without clear policy “execution,” post-FOMC volatility has spiked, making it harder to confirm these resistance zones as solid support levels<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who Will Dominate the Next Market Recovery?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Fundamentals are essential to confirming this trend. As Ethereum<\/a> regained the $2,000 level<\/strong>, significant capital flows hinted at the potential formation of a market bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On-chain data confirms that the World Liberty Financial<\/em> fund of Donald Trump<\/strong> resumed ETH accumulation. The fund transferred 25 million USDC<\/strong> to a new multi-signature wallet and made a purchase of 4,468 ETH<\/strong> ($10 million) at $2,238.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simultaneously, retail demand surged to $2,059, triggering the largest outflow <\/strong>of ETH from exchanges in over two weeks: 139,000 ETH<\/strong> withdrawn from platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n

However, for Ethereum <\/strong>to establish its dominance<\/strong>, the ETH\/BTC must break <\/strong>a key resistance <\/strong>at 0.025, supported by a sustainable rotation of capital from BTC to ETH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, Bitcoin<\/a>‘s strong fundamentals <\/strong>continue to fuel long-term holding sentiment<\/strong>, while Ethereum’s rebound depends on reclaiming the $2,500<\/strong> resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Without a confirmed breakthrough, volatility driven by persistent speculation<\/strong> persists, leaving the overall market rebound uncertain. Failure to hold key supports could see Ethereum at risk of losing the critical $2,000 support level<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
