Waiting for the Rebound of Polygon’s POL Token<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Despite intense activity<\/strong> on the technical<\/a> front, the Polygon token (POL)<\/strong>, formerly known as MATIC, is still struggling to convince investors<\/a>. Priced at $0.258<\/strong> on May 13, 2025, its value is still far from its all-time highs.<\/p>\n\n\n

Nevertheless, Polygon is not holding back in evolving its infrastructure<\/strong>. The network is currently rolling out its “Polygon 2.0” strategy, focusing on a promising new technology: zkEVM <\/strong>(Zero-Knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine). Simultaneously, Polygon <\/strong>has also migrated its former MATIC token <\/strong>to the new POL, paving the way for new use cases<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ambitious Initiatives to Boost the POL Ecosystem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Recently, Polygon launched the Agglayer Breakout<\/strong> program aimed at incubating and deploying high-impact blockchain projects. The concept? Allocating 5 to 15% of the tokens from incubated projects in an airdrop to POL stakers, thus boosting network activity and the token’s value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This adoption strategy seems to be bearing fruit. Projects integrated into Polygon’s Agglayer benefit from immediate connection<\/strong> to its infrastructure, fostering a virtuous cycle around POL staking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Analysts have mixed views on POL’s price evolution. Short-term forecasts remain cautious, with a target around $0.27<\/strong> within a month according to CoinCodex<\/em>, and $0.47<\/strong> within a year according to Coinpedia<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, in the long run, more optimistic experts like DigitalCoinPrice<\/em> estimate that POL could reach $3.91<\/strong> by the end of 2025, provided that the adoption of zkEVM and the multiple chains in the Polygon ecosystem truly take off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
