In addition to Bitcoin cashback, cardholders will also enjoy:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Boosted rewards on their USDC stablecoin holdings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Higher transaction credits and staking rewards on Base, the Layer-2 Ethereum network developed by Coinbase<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access to traditional American Express card benefits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative is part of <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/crypto-investing\/exchange\/coinbase\/vip-program\/\">Coinbase<\/a>&#8216;s broader strategy to <strong>expand its subscription services<\/strong>. The company also simultaneously announced the launch of Coinbase Basic, a stripped-down version of its subscription at <strong>$4.99 per month or $49.99 per year<\/strong>, offering fewer features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"international-availability-no-launch-planned-in-france-or-the-united-arab-emirates\">International Availability : No Launch Planned in France or the United Arab Emirates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to all official sources, the Coinbase One Card will be<strong> exclusively available to Coinbase One members in the United States<\/strong> upon its launch in the fall of 2025. There has been no announcement regarding international availability, whether in France or the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is important to note that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>France is among the European countries where the classic Coinbase Card (prepaid Visa card) has been available since 2019, but this does not indicate future availability of this new American Express credit card<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>According to the most recent information, Coinbase does not officially operate in the United Arab Emirates, making the launch of the Coinbase One Card in this country in the short term unlikely<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The waitlist for the Coinbase One Card is currently open only to U.S. residents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>International users will have to wait to find out if Coinbase plans to extend this offer to other markets in the future. Currently, <strong>no<\/strong> international deployment <strong>schedule<\/strong> has been communicated by the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a-revenue-diversification-strategy-paying-off\">A Revenue Diversification Strategy Paying Off<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Coinbase&#8217;s business model is rapidly shifting towards recurring revenues. In the first quarter of 2025, subscription services generated <strong>$698.1 million<\/strong>, compared to <strong>$1.26 billion<\/strong> from trading fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Launched in 2023, Coinbase One now boasts over <strong>one million subscribers.<\/strong> According to analyst William Blair, Andrew Jeffrey, this type of recurring revenue is one of the main reasons why long-term investors maintain confidence in the company&#8217;s stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This card adds to Coinbase&#8217;s growing ecosystem, which already includes its <strong>Base<\/strong> development platform and wallet. It also reinforces the company&#8217;s positioning around Bitcoin, placing it at the core of its long-term strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"a-growing-trend-in-the-crypto-industry\">A Growing Trend in the Crypto Industry<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Coinbase is not the only crypto company entering the payment card market. Many platforms and <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/crypto-investing\/exchange\/best-cryptocurrency-exchange\/\">exchanges<\/a> are aiming to enable their users to spend their digital assets for everyday purchases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, the wallet <strong>MetaMask<\/strong> introduced its debit card last year, while Mastercard unveiled plans in April to launch debit cards with exchanges <strong>OKX and <a href=\"https:\/\/preprod.investx.fr\/en\/crypto-investing\/exchange\/kraken\/\">Kraken<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>American Express is no stranger to the crypto world either, having already issued a credit card offering cryptocurrency rewards with <strong>Abra<\/strong> in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"future-outlook-for-coinbase\">Future Outlook for Coinbase<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcement of this card coincides with Coinbase&#8217;s State of Crypto summit in New York, where the exchange also mentioned its intention to expand perpetual futures contract trading in the United States, as reported by several media outlets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Coinbase launching perps in US <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/lPxW2uf1IL\">pic.twitter.com\/lPxW2uf1IL<\/a><\/p>&mdash; db (@tier10k) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/tier10k\/status\/1933238313567080716?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 12, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, <strong>perpetual futures trading<\/strong> is limited to non-U.S. users on Coinbase Advance.
